About
Modified:
Welcome to my blog that’s not really a blog but my best imitation of a newspaper column. I post here once a week (generally on Sunday or Monday) and write about whatever I feel like writing about, which usually means my kids or my horse. In truth, I’m not very good at this whole motherhood thing, and it helps to write about it while my children are still too young to tell me to stop writing about them.
A little bit about me: I’ve been a freelance writer for the last 10-plus years. My work has been published in the Washington Post and Hemispheres magazine, among others. I also co-authored the book God Sleeps in Rwanda: A Journey of Transformation with Joseph Sebarenzi (2009, Atria Books/Simon & Schuster), a memoir of Joseph’s life growing up in Rwanda, the 1994 genocide, and his political rise to become speaker of Rwanda’s parliament. In addition to my creative work, I’ve written corporate communications for dozens of organizations over the last decade, including articles, annual reports, marketing materials, and web sites. If you’d like to learn more about that, you can visit my less offensive web site: www.lauramullane.com.
Thanks for reading!
